A federal grand jury in Pittsburgh indicted a Wilkinsburg man on Tuesday for allegedly threatening to assassinate President Donald Trump and multiple federal officials.
Prosecutors state the suspect used social media and physical journals to detail violent plans targeting ICE agents and U.S. Senator John Fetterman. This indictment follows the suspect’s recent public announcement that he intended to run against Fetterman in the 2028 election cycle. Federal investigators uncovered the specific threats, which included calls for police executions, during a probe into his online activity and personal writings.
The defendant is currently being held in custody while awaiting a mental competency evaluation and a formal court appearance.
